What is Pseudogynecomastia ?
Filed Under Pseudogynecomastia | Leave a Comment
Pseudogynecomastia is basically chest fat. In pseudo gynecomastia there is no breast tissue and the breasts are only a result of accumulated fat.
Whereas actual gynecomastia is due to the development of abnormally large mammary glands in males resulting in breast enlargement. Gynecomastia can be due to many reasons including side effects from prescription medication, the use of recreational drugs, onset of puberty, or an underlying medical condition.
Pseudogynecomastia looks much like real gynecomastia but has no medical reason for being there except for the patient being overweight and in some cases it can be hereditary.
There are many ways of treating pseudogynecomastia including exercise, diet, nutritional supplements and as a last resort, liposuction and surgery.
By far the best way to reduce the chest fat is to go on a diet and exercise plan.
To summarise, pseudogynecomastia or man boobs is an unpleasant condition but is not a medical problem.

Pseudogynecomastia is an embarrassing condition. There are many men who suffer from this condition and have tried to correct the situation without success. This is because man boobs can be a serious condition, which may require more than just a little diet and exercise to correct. The medical term for man boobs is gynecomastia, which basically means woman’s breast. There are two types of gynecomastia or man boobs. The first type is gynecomastia which is caused by a medical condition or medication that the man is taking. The second type of man boobs is pseudogynecomastia which is generally due to obesity.
We find man boobs occurring in male infants right after birth. Their little breasts appear enlarged due to the mother’s hormones. In young adolescent teenage boys this condition sometimes reoccurs not because of the mother hormones but due to an imbalance in their own hormone levels. This type of man boobs is considered a medical condition. While man boobs is not a dangerous condition itself it can be a sign of a more serious underlying medical condition and should be properly diagnosed by a physician. In adolescent boys this condition usually corrects itself in a few years as the hormone levels tend to equal out. If the adolescent boy is not over weight than this condition should correct itself and the breast will return to normal in a few years. If the man boobs are associated with an obese boy than a diet and exercise program can be introduced to help reduce the man boobs.
In older males who develop man boobs the condition can be more difficult to diagnosis. In 25% of man boob cases the occurrence of man boobs is unknown. There are several medicines that can cause the development of man boobs. There are also many medical conditions that are also associated with the development of man boobs. The obvious reason would be obesity. If you are a male with man boobs trying a diet and exercise program to reduce the size of your man boobs is a great first step.
To try and eliminate man boobs through diet and exercise you will have to introduce a cardio workout while also targeting the pectoral area as well. Working just the pecs will not reduce the size of the man boobs. You will need to lose the weight first to reduce the size of the mammary area. In many cases surgery is the only way to completely eliminate man boobs due to the excess mammary tissue. This tissue must be removed through cosmetic surgery to reduce the appearance of man boobs.
No matter what your age or size if you are suffering form man boobs it is important to speak to a medical physician about your condition. This problem can sometimes be easily corrected by changing medications or discovering and treating an underlying condition. It is important to remember that man boobs is not a dangerous condition but it can be a sign of a dangerous condition such as testicular cancer, chronic kidney disease, or chronic liver disease. There are many reasons why you are developing man boobs it is always best to have this condition checkout by a medical professional.

How to Get Rid of Man Boobs

Would You like to learn how to get rid of man boobs?
It’s every man’s worst nightmare: man boobs. You saw it on the Seinfeld episode, “The Mansierre,” in which Kramer developed a bra for guys who were suffering from a little too much breast development.
The condition may be most devastating to teens, but it can strike at any age. In fact, nearly 50 percent of all men will experience gynecomastia at some point in their lives, Many sufferers don’t know that gynecomastia is a medical condition caused by hormone fluctuations and weight gain. Nor do they know that exercise or weight loss alone may not be effective in getting rid of male breasts once they develop.
One of the biggest culprits for adults—and one that’s easily avoidable—is weight gain. When men gain weight, they’re not just getting bigger; the extra weight is actually changing their hormone production—and not in a way that most men would like. By nature, fat tissue manufactures the female hormone estrogen, which in turn stimulates breast tissue—meaning that significant weight gain will always be associated with some sort of breast growth, even in men, according to experts. A person who’s overweight will be fatter all around, and maybe even develop the excessive breast fat that doctors call pseudogynecomastia—the appearance of male breasts caused by fat alone. Most really overweight men are developing actual breast tissue, not just some extra padding. Doctors say that virtually all obese men (those who have a body mass index of 30 or greater, experience some degree of breast growth. And once that breast tissue is established, it doesn’t go away on its own—no matter how much you exercise or diet. Considering that 75 percent of Americans are likely to be overweight by 2015, according to a recent John Hopkins study, men may want to think twice about supersizing that cheeseburger.
Even if some older men have made peace with their manboobs, gynecomastia is no joke for many young men—particularly in a culture in which pecs of steel are the norm in the mainstream media. The problem with adolescent onset gynecomastia is that it’s happening at a time when kids are first becoming aware of their bodies. Kids at that point are really interested in fitting in, and this can make them targets for everything from emotional to sexual to physical abuse.
Impatient teens have few options. They can wait it out and hope the gynecomastia goes away as hormone levels fluctuate; most doctors say to give it two years or so. If it still persists, a doctor can prescribe an estrogen-blocker—a common one is the breast cancer drug Tamoxifen—to reverse the hormone levels. Or, as an increasingly common last resort, there’s breast-reduction surgery, a procedure some 20,000 American men—including 14,000 teenagers—underwent last year, making it the fifth-most common male surgery in America, according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
Plastic surgeons say the procedure today is easier, safer and more effective than it’s ever been. The surgery ranges in price from about $4,000 to $10,000 and can take as little as an hour, depending on the size and makeup of the breast, which can range from puffed up nipples to more fully formed breasts. In some cases surgeons use liposuction to remove fatty deposits and glandular tissue, all through a “tiny nick in the skin”—about an eighth of an inch. In more severe cases a surgeon may need to open up the breast to remove tissue and excess skin, and occasionally even reposition the nipple.
Even if the condition doesn’t merit surgery, doctors are hoping that more men seek medical advice about treatment options instead of resigning themselves to a life lived with their shirts on. Talking about the problem, they say, is key. Raising awareness of the condition—its causes, symptoms, treatments—will help more boys and men with gynecomastia be correctly diagnosed, and reassure them they are not alone.

Pseudo Gynecomastia Explained
Filed Under Pseudogynecomastia | Leave a Comment
Pseudo gynecomastia is an increase of adipose tissue in the male chest area causing the appearance of female like breasts. This condition is often confused with true gynecomastia which is an increase of glandular breast tissue in males. Pseudo gynecomastia can be caused by a host of reasons including improper diet, lack of exercise, medications, alcohol and marijuana use as well as other drug use.
It is estimated that as many as 60% of males have an increase in size of one or both breasts at some point in their life. More than 90% of cases are actually pseudo gynecomastia. This often causes psychological distress and emotional scars, especially in teenage males.
It is possible through diet and exercise to reduce the amount of adipose tissue in the chest area. Upper body exercises that work the arms, chest, and back are among the ways to treat this condition naturally.
For some weight loss to treat pseudo gynecomastia has left them with sagging breasts that need to be surgically tightened up and sculpted to remove the feminine appearance. Patients considering having this type of procedure done need to weigh their options as all surgery is risky.
Gynecomastia surgery is not for everyone. To be considered for surgery you must be in overall good health, you should have already attempted diet and exercise to remove the excess fat from your chest area, and you should have a realistic outlook as far as the possible outcome after surgery.
Lifestyle changes that effect pseudo gynecomastia need to be made for surgery to be successful. If lifestyle changes are not made then the adipose tissue will return. If you aren’t willing or able to make changes in lifestyle that are going to decrease your chest fat content then surgery is not a good option for you.
For some men having a feminine appearing chest isn’t something they can live with. The psychological and emotional stress associated with having a feminine looking chest can be difficult. In cases where the feminine appearance associated with pseudo gynecomastia causes emotional distress, or if alterations to daily lifestyle have to be made to deal with the condition, and all other options have been tried, then surgery may be a good option.

Overcoming pseudogynecomastia, or breast enlargement in men due to obesity, is one of the major issues that most overweight men are trying to achieve – and it’s no easy feat.
Pseudogynecomastia is quite different from the normal gynescomastia caused by hormonal imbalance in men. In truth, pseudogynecomastia is the result of having enlarged breast due to obesity, which is due to the presence of too much chest fat. Overcoming pseudogynecomastia is very expensive, especially if they undergo medical treatment.
There are two known ways to overcome this problem – medical or natural treatment. The medical treatment involves surgery or liposuction; and medications for weight loss. Both these methods are very expensive, and not all can afford it. Also, there are risks involved when doing cosmetics surgery to remove any trace of pseudogynecomastia, and the complications afterwards could be so much worse.
The natural method for overcoming pseudogynecomastia involves taking in natural herbal supplements along with steady exercise coupled with diet programs. These might take some time to accomplish, buts it’s a lot safer and inexpensive as compared to medical treatments. The only requirement for natural treatment is the determination of the individual to get rid of the problem, along with the willpower to persevere during the duration of the treatment.
But before any treatment is decided on in overcoming pseudogynecomastia [http://getting-rid-of-man-boobs.blogspot.com/2007/09/how-to-lose-man-boobs.html], it is best to determine if the man boobs in question is caused by hormonal imbalance or obesity; getting this done can save you tons of money, and the risk involved as well.

I have man boobs, but how do I know if I have gynecomastia or pseudogynecomastia? From what I understand, gynecomastia is the actual development of breast tissue in males whereas pseudogynecomastia is just fat. Pseudogynecomastia will go away with exercise, while gynecomastia almost certainly requires surgery to get rid of. How can I figure out which I have? Is it obvious? FYI. I am 24 years old, 6’1, and 190 lbs.
I’ve had them since at least puberty, so it isn’t a recent occurrence.
I’ve been working out since December. Doing a lot of running and push ups, but it doesn’t seem to help. Instead, I’m building muscle underneath and the man boobs are getting even bigger.

As you can see from the title, I can’t distinguish these ‘anomalies’. I’m worried person who surely has one of these.
I have that from puberty and now I still have it (I’m 20). It’s certainly not from the fatness (I have never been fat).
I have something hard around my nipples, but it doesn’t hurts me. Also the niples are something puffy. When it’s cold they get back to normal. I have tried with trainings and pushups but it’s imposible to eradicate the hard thing and ‘liquid’ around my nipples.
I went to doctor and he said: ” Not all people are child of one mother”. And I’m really woried since that time. I know that there’s a way to fix it with surgery, but does anyone know a different way to get rid of it, any medicals? I know for the medical called “gynexin”, but it doesn’t help.
I also want to hear the idea from post-surgery experienced persons. Also, the answer of my first question, is it gyno or pseodogyno?
Any useful answers will be very much appreciated. Thank You.
